2010 BITD Bluewater Desert Challenge

Happy Monday to everyone. We all made it back home safely. The race this weekend was a rough one. At least it wasn't pouring rain like it did in February!!! Shannon and Nick qualified on Thursday - 10th in class and would be going off the line with Jacinto Racing (Jake Johnson). The race started at 1:00 and would be a total of 77 miles. We were able to watch a little from where we were pitted. Going on their 3rd lap the guys radioed in that they were having trouble and were done for the day. It was a long night but we had plenty of hands helping to get the car back together for Sunday's race.  Starting positions were posted for Sunday and they had moved back to 26th postiton. I videoed the start and Shannon shot out like a rocket. We all headed back to the pit area. When Shannon and Nick came by us they had moved up 10 positions going on their second lap. At about race mile 9 we heard Shannon on the radio-they were having tranny issues. Done for the day. I did get to hear some great stories about their day.
